We envision a world where everyone is empowered to learn about and protect our planet.

Too often engaging people in environmental science and conservation tends to be limiting, isolating, and  demoralizing. This makes it harder to imagine different paths, options, or conversations.

The Field School Foundation promotes and supports environmental conservation research and education that works to overcome obstacles and to imagine a different way forward.

To do this, we support environmental research that:
  1.  Engages underserved communities in the study of environmental problems and conversations about solutions, and
  2. Incorporates hands-on research experience for students, particularly underrepresented communities in science.
